1. Warranty Coverage

Container Choice (CC) warrants that all shipping containers supplied are structurally sound and suitable for their intended use at the time of delivery. This Limited Warranty applies to new, used and refurbished containers and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service conditions.

Unless otherwise specified in writing, the following warranty periods apply:

• New Containers: 10 Year Limited Warranty
• Refurbished Containers: 5 Year Limited Warranty
• Used Containers: Limited structural warranty of 1-2 years. – This warranty includes:
• Structural integrity of the container frame, walls, and roof
• Weather resistance, including wind and watertight (WWT) condition
• Proper functioning of cargo doors, locking mechanisms, and seals
• Weld integrity on the primary structure

2. Warranty Conditions

This warranty is valid from the date of delivery and applies only to the original purchaser. The container must be:

• Used under normal conditions
• Properly maintained
• Positioned on a suitable, level foundation
• Not altered or modified without written approval

3. Exclusions

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

• Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, surface rust, or paint wear
• Damage caused by misuse, abuse, overloading, or improper handling
• Modifications, alterations, or repairs performed by unauthorized parties
• Damage resulting from extreme environmental conditions (e.g., floods, fire, chemical exposure, or natural disasters)
• Normal wear and tear over time
• Flooring damage due to improper loading or hazardous materials

4. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall the seller be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of business, revenue, or stored goods
• Any costs related to third-party handling, transport, or installation

The seller’s liability is strictly limited to repair or replacement of the defective container or component, at its sole discretion.

5. Warranty Claims

To submit a warranty claim, the customer must:

1. Notify us in writing at info@container-choice.co.za within a reasonable time after discovering the defect
2. Provide proof of purchase and supporting evidence (photos/videos)
3. Allow reasonable access for inspection if required

All claims are subject to verification before approval.

6. Repairs and Remedies

If a valid claim is approved, we will:

• Repair the defective component, or
• Replace the container (or part thereof), at our discretion

Warranty repairs do not extend the original warranty period.

7. Governing Law

This Limited Warranty shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

8. General Terms

This warranty constitutes the entire agreement regarding product warranty and supersedes any prior representations or agreements. No employee or agent is authorized to modify these terms unless in writing.
